The useful bit

Get the aftercare timings for your treatment before leaving, particularly for water, steam, swimming and makeup.

Why the first question should be about your treatment

After a lift, your natural lashes have been reshaped rather than extended. That makes lift aftercare a different conversation from extension aftercare. It also means that instructions for one lifting system should not automatically be applied to another.

Ask your artist which aftercare instructions apply to your appointment and keep a copy. At Flirty, both Signature and Premium Korean appointments include tint; the Korean service also includes conditioning. Check what that means for your own routine before you leave.

Can you get your lashes wet?

There is no useful reason to guess. As an example of product-specific guidance, Nouveau Lashes advises keeping its LVL-treated lashes dry for the first 24 hours and avoiding steam, saunas and swimming for the first two days. That is guidance for its system, rather than a declaration that Flirty uses LVL.

Ask Flirty for the timing that applies to the treatment and products used on you. If you have a pool session, sauna booking or early flight, raise it before choosing the appointment time. Planning those details is easier than discovering an aftercare conflict on the way out.

When can you wear mascara?

Check when eye makeup can be used again, which remover is appropriate and whether your artist recommends any conditioning product. A lift does not require you to add mascara, but you may still prefer it for a particular look once the advised waiting period has passed.

Keep removal gentle. Avoid rubbing at your eyes or trying to force the lashes into a different shape with curlers. Ask for a demonstration of how to brush or tidy the lashes and how to use any recommended aftercare product. More products are not automatically a better routine.

What happens as the lift grows out?

A lift gradually changes as treated lashes grow and shed and new lashes come through. Nouveau Lashes describes its own lift as growing out naturally. Your result will not look exactly the same every day, and a fresh tint and a lifted shape may change at different rates.

If you are unhappy with the shape, or the lashes look uneven or feel uncomfortable, contact the studio before booking another chemical treatment. Repeating a lift immediately is not an appropriate decision to make from a blog. Your artist needs to assess the lashes and the products already used.

Plan the next visit around assessment

Ask when the studio would like to see you again and what to do if you want a tint refresh sooner. There is no need to copy another person’s repeat-treatment schedule. The condition of your lashes and your previous treatment are part of that decision.

If you are considering a different type of lift next time, read Korean versus Signature. If you want a completely different level of texture or fullness, compare lifts with extensions before booking.

Make a short aftercare checklist

Before leaving, confirm four things: when water is allowed, when heat and swimming are allowed, how to remove makeup, and when to contact the studio about another appointment. Keeping those answers together avoids having to piece together conflicting advice later.

Book through the lash-lift menu and allow time for your relevant patch test. Tell the studio about any previous irritation or recent lash treatment before the appointment is confirmed.
