The Flirty journal · Lash maintenance
When should you book a lash infill?
Understand what an infill does, why the condition of your set matters and how to choose the right booking.

The useful bit
Book the infill that matches your set, and ask the studio if your lashes are sparse, grown out or from another salon.
An infill is a maintenance appointment
An infill refreshes an existing extension set. As your natural lashes grow and shed, the set changes. At an infill, an artist can assess what is still suitable, remove extensions that need attention and apply new ones where appropriate.
It is not simply a shorter full set chosen because a few extensions remain. The condition and distribution of those lashes matter, as does the style you want to maintain. London Lash’s professional infill guidance describes cleaning, removing unsuitable extensions and reapplying as distinct parts of the appointment.
Use the calendar as a guide
Around two to three weeks is a common maintenance discussion, but it is not a universal booking rule or a guarantee of retention. Your natural lash cycle, the existing set and your routine all affect what the next appointment needs to achieve.
Some salons publish minimum remaining-lash percentages or maximum gaps. Do not assume another salon’s limits apply at Flirty. Check the description on our infill menu or ask the studio before booking, particularly if it has been longer than usual.
When a full set or removal may be needed
Contact the studio if your extensions have become very sparse, noticeably uneven or much more grown out than at your usual infill visit. Tell the artist when the set was applied and whether it was done at Flirty. If you can, explain what you want the next appointment to change.
A short infill may not allow enough time for significant restyling or for dealing with an unfamiliar set. If the studio recommends a different appointment, that helps give the work the time it needs. Read Hybrid or Premium? if your question is about application time rather than just fullness.
Book the matching service
Flirty lists infill options for its different extension styles, along with a quick lash top-up and removal. Choose the service that corresponds to your current set, then check any instructions in the Fresha listing.
If you want to change from Classic to Hybrid, make the lashes softer or try a more textured finish, ask whether the change can be made within your planned appointment. A reference photo can be useful, but the artist also needs to know what you are wearing now.
- Say which style you currently have and when it was applied.
- Mention if the work was carried out at another salon.
- Explain whether you want maintenance or a change of look.
- Check the time, price and service description before confirming.
Keep a useful record between visits
A quick photograph soon after your appointment can make it easier to describe how your set has changed. If something feels uncomfortable or the loss seems unusual, contact the studio promptly instead of waiting for an ordinary infill date.
Use the extension aftercare guide to review your routine, and arrange your next visit while suitable appointments are available. If you are starting again with a new set, our style comparison can help you choose the finish.
