The useful bit

Choose the finish first. Your artist can then adapt the length, curl and density to your natural lashes.

Start with the look you actually want

If the lash menu feels like a language of its own, begin with an everyday description. Do you want your eyes to look a little more defined without mascara? Do you like a soft, uneven flutter? Or are you hoping for a fuller lash line that stands out in photographs?

Those answers are more helpful than choosing the longest set on a menu. Bring a photograph of a finish you like, but explain which part appeals to you: the outer corners, the darkness at the roots or the light, separated tips. A reference is a starting point for a conversation, rather than a promise of an identical result.

What do classic, hybrid and volume mean?

In conventional classic application, one extension is attached to an individual natural lash. Hybrid combines individual extensions with volume fans. Russian volume uses fans of finer extensions to build a fuller effect. These are application styles; they do not describe one fixed length or shape.

London Lash explains that hybrid brings classic and volume techniques together. The amount of texture and fullness can still be adjusted. A restrained hybrid set and a dramatic hybrid set may look quite different, so the treatment name alone does not tell the whole story.

Length, curl and shape matter as well

A style category is only one part of the plan. The distribution of lengths across the eye changes the overall impression, while curl affects how visible the lashes look from the front. Your artist also needs to consider what your own lashes can support.

Be specific about anything you dislike. If you do not want long outer corners, a very dark lash line or a strongly curled look, say so before application begins. You can ask for definition while keeping the overall result understated. More length is not automatically the most flattering choice.

Match the set to your routine

Think about how often you want to return, how you usually remove makeup and whether extensions are for everyday wear or a particular occasion. Every extension style involves looking after the set between appointments. Read our extension aftercare guide before deciding.

If you prefer to work entirely with your natural lashes, compare a lash lift with extensions. If you already wear extensions, ask whether your next booking should be a matching infill or a different appointment before changing style.

Choosing your appointment at Flirty

Our Billericay lash extension menu includes Classic, Angel, Hybrid, Russian volume, Mega volume and Premium wispy or textured sets. Compare the descriptions and current prices rather than assuming that Premium simply means fuller.

The Hybrid or Premium guide explains why extra appointment time can matter for detailed work. If you are unsure, contact the studio with your preferred finish and whether you currently have extensions. New clients should also leave time for the relevant patch test before booking treatment.
